...I am still kinda lost on what moe means. I mean, I have seen this all over, and from what I have read, could moe be summarized as being almost a Mary Sue-type of character? Where they are pretty, good at most everything right away, yet still has that need to be protected?...and did I just answer my own question with that? *is dizzy*

tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MoeReally should have provided this link at the top XD It's poorly-defined to begin with but it's generally just a way of characterisation designed to get the audience to adore and want to protect a character. It's kind of like how all women in western TV have to be 'strong' these days which actually means 'bitchy' but you know... far, far, far creepier.

Anyody seen boy moe? LOL I think I have now that I know about the definition. Though boy moe are rare and if they do exist they're usually just making fun of the whole "moe" genre.

Oh boy moe does exist, it's just not very often you get ENTIRE SHOWS dedicated to it.
As in I can't actually think of one off the top of my head XD

An example of a boy moe I think would be Miharu from Nabari no Ou. XD But you're right, the plot doesn't surround- er wait, NVM it kind of DOES. I mean, the goal is to protect the Shinrabanshou(OMG I speak Japanese and I'm not even sure how to spell that properly. LOL), which happens to be located in poor Miharu. But I don't find it as annoying as the other moe genres. Maybe that's because he uses his moe to his freakin' advantage and it's kind of funny rather than annoying.

Um... first of all I'd debate if Miharu was moe and second of all when I mean 'the show doesn't focus on it' I don't mean 'they aren't the main character.'
There are shows that the entire point of them is to be moe - look at K-On for example.
You rarely see a show about a bunch of boys being adorable XD

I'd say he would be. I mean you got a bunch of people protecting him and he acts cute to get what he wants. Eg:
Tobari: Hey, get back here! *grabs Miharu by arm* Miharu: *cute eyes* That hurts me... <3 Tobari: O.O *promptly lets go*
So...in a way. He is. But I get the type your referring to is a lot more extreme. o.o Then again, I usually don't even watch anime like K-On, except a bit of Lucky Star. Would that count? LOL
This could all also be because I haven't actually seen a moe in anime. Like mentioned before, I don't usually watch the anime like K-On or similar ones. So if these are all the shows that have moe in them, well gawd no wonder I have no idea what the Hell you people are talking about. LOLOL

I meant I'd debate it because Miharu is mostly putting on an act but yeeeaaaah he's kind of... boy moe.
And you've seen moe in anime, trust me
It's like when people say 'I've never seen lolicon or shotacon in anime' - you have, you just weren't aware of it.
Doesn't help moe is poorly defined either...

LOL I think that makes the whole moe idea for Nabari less annoying and more so funny. Kind of like a parody. I know you haven't seen Needless, but there are a few characters in there that make fun of the whole moe genre. Like the main character loves little girls and wants to protect them and the girls act all moe around him. Priceless entertainment there. XD
Ah, I went Buddhist chanting and now I seem to understand where this is coming from. Just another quick question, would Dance in the Vampire Bund be considered sort of moe? :O

Erm.... no its straight up lolicon and shotacon. For one things its too sexualised and Mina doesn't need protecting.
