Ok guys, we've had some people trying to raise awareness about certain causes but we don't have that many people on the forums at the moment so the forums aren't really the place for that. Maybe if we get like a lot more people on here one day then yeah, sure go ahead, but right now there are only 18 people. Your hearts are in the right place, but again, this forum isn't the place for that. So please no more posting about causes on here for the time being.

What if users put them in "Random Chat"? Personally with it being my topic I set up, I wouldn't mind. :O ^-^

We're gonna have to say no to that as well Feathers.
Essentially the reason we're making this rule is because this forum is not the place for politics or social issues. So far everyone has agreed for the most part about the causes being posted being bad, but happens when someone posts a cause on here that not everyone agrees with?
Then things get political and neither me, Yuki or Photoshy are in any way qualified to deal with that kind of argument. Moreover, as Yuki said, there's 18 people on this board. 18. Most of whom are probably members of the Facebook page, Smackjeeves or Deviantart, and as such, if there's a big cause you want to spread, send it me and I will mull it over before I post a journal entry or something alike to those sites.
So please respect our decision here and understand that it's not that we don't care (for example I've signed the petition against ACTA months ago but will happily do it again) it's that this isn't the place for it.
Thanks.

Ok sorry about that. I understand you guys' concern about things becoming divisively politically on here. I want to assure you that I was never planning to post anything that would be a hotly controversial topic among people like "oppose pro-life/pro-choice legislation here!" or something like that. My mindset at the time was that if it was isolated in its own thread, then I didn't see a problem with posting something about Internet censorship since everyone who isn't part of a massive corporation seems unanimously oppositional toward it. But I can see how you don't want everyone to start using this forum to post a bunch of political causes, and you're right, that's something that could snowball out of control and get everyone angry at each other if this isn't nipped in the bud now. Again sorry about that, didn't mean to cause any problems and I won't make any more public posts about it

I'm not usually one to spread these kind of causes to begin with, but I really don't mind if other do that's why I offered. XD All good with whatever the forum chooses though. I follow along quite well. :D Except for staying on topic. I get away from that too often. LOL But that's why I made Random Chat! :D

Should clarify, we're not angry at anyone posting causes, we're just nipping it in the bud.
