Okay, so we all know that writers put in certain scenes in order to have the viewer feel a certain way towards the situation or characters. However, sometimes I don't quite react the way the creators probably wanted me to, and I'm wondering if this is the case for anyone else.
And to list an example to start off, there's a scene in the anime Needless where two supporting characters are having a conversation in an office. Then out of no where they mention how another supporting character had died in a lab accident. There was literally no flashback, no development, she just apparently died.
Well I know that was supposed to be sad and everything, but I have to admit I burst out laughing. And I wasn't alone apparently because my brother, sis, and mom all thought it was kind of strangely introduced. It was like, "xx died...and we're not going to discuss it further..." Then again, Needless tends to make fun of itself, so maybe it was done on purpose. Oh, but you get what I mean. XD

I'll start off and be lazy and say ' EVERY FANSERVICE ANIME EVER'.
Now to be serious.
Red Garden - which I recently reviewed - is MADE of this. From the singing to the doggy men, Red Garden tries to be scary and fails so hard.

Kind of like a horror film where the blood sprays everywhere unnaturally and/or looks like tomato soup? O.o

Kind of hanging out on the other side of the world ATM. XD I'll go find it when I get a chance. I'll check out the review then too.
Moving on though, Rogo, am I a bad person for feeling awkward at sad scenes in some anime? It's mostly with action anime... LOL
