All of us here most likely played video games when they were children and all of us probably had a set of games we loved above all. Of course with the age differences on this forum I think some people's childhood favourites are going to make some of us feel very, very, very old. I'll go first - I LOVED the Sonic games, especially Sonic 2 and 3. I wasted many hours playing those fun little games. Unfortunately loving the Sonic games as a kid, I had my heart broken very quickly shortly after Sonic & Knuckles. So what games did you love as a kid?

I loved/still love Donkey Kong Country on the Super Nintendo, Super Metriod, and Castlevania on the Nintendo 64.

I've loved all kinds of stuff, tho as a kid it was mostly Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Pokemon, and Sonic. Especially Sonic Sonic 2 was the first game I ever played and S3&K is still one of my favs of all time. I think Sonic Adventure 1, 2 and Heroes are great as well and also provide a lot of nostagia for me, tho I can understand why some people don't like them as much as the Sega Genesis era games. The ultimate turn off in the series for me was the Shadow the Hedgehog spin-off..... X( Those three franchises have also been the biggest influence on my artistic style

I actually liked Shadow the Hedgehog... because it was so bad.

You WHAT?!?! No jk. I actually played through it for the first time in 6 years recently and it wasn't quite as bad as I remembered...because enough time had passed that it was easier for me to laugh at everything that was so awful. The excessive swearing, mediocre plot, the God-awful voice acting...that was a large part of it, too, I was among the group of fans who was really attached to the original VAs and for Sega to fire them out of no where and replace them with 4Kids was such a shock.

My favourite thing about it is the cut scene before the final battle where they CLEARLY just gave up trying to animate and it's laughably awful.

You mean the part where they lazily had the villain transform off screen? Or just the character models in general? XD

I played quite a few games as a kid, I played some old Atari games if anybody here knows of that game system. Games I played on there were usually Q-bert (I think I spelled that right) though I sucked at it, Galaga, I think I had Pac Man I'm not sure. I played Tempest on Jaguar, I played a lot of Pokemon when those games came out. I loved Crash Bandicoot for Playstation, and yeah, that's what I remember right now.

Yeah that was pretty bad XD If that was supposed to be a tense scene, then...major failure XD XD XD
